Photos of Cantor's Office Window
Do they exist? I went to a few Richmond VA. television station sites and the Dispatch newspaper site and so far, I've not seen one photo or bit of film that shows this "shot-out" window.

My guess is the window was chipped by a bit of gravel and they're making it out to be a Liberal terrorist attack - Not unlike that repub legislator who claimed his country cabin was targeted when in fact it was hit by a stray bullet during hunting season.

...the glass repair.

12. The story is being obfuscated.
They say his "campaign" office. I don't know what that is, is it his district office? The story is getting fishier and fishier. I just Bing mapped his district office. Why would he still have a campaign office and why would they be two separate locations?

What does that have to do with Cantor? And why would somebody send a message to Cantor by shooting up his political consultant? I'm calling bullshit on this whole story.

Although, I would imagine that if there were window damage, it would have been replaced by now.

Cantor's claim is suspect. The people at his office can't even pinpoint exactly when this incident happened, much less whether or not the window damage was intentional:

http://www2.timesdispatch.com/rtd/news/state_regional/article/possible_shot_fired_at_office_building_of_cantor_consultant/332877/

Here's his Richmond office:

The image came from this site:

http://www.nbc12.com/Global/story.asp?S=12201242

Seems to me, that if one of the ground floor windows were shot, it would be immediately evident. It might be harder to see window damage to the top floor or possible windows that aren't in the street view.

Nevertheless, I'm calling bullshit.

45. Cool
Now, if you're really interested in the details, try calling this man:

Tom Kapsivelis
(804) 649-6494

He's the Breaking News editor for the Richmond Times Dispatch and would know whether or not local newspapers have been assigned to the story and what they've learned about the incident. When I called the main news desk, the woman said that so far, the only facts they have on the story come from the AP news report and she had no idea whether or not the Dispatch was doing a report.

If you're local to the area, then you don't have to pay for a long distance call- which I just did. Hint Hint.

55-122 FORCIBLE ENTRY TOOL 30" FUBAR STANLEY - this big tool could possible force that door open with less damage than a brick if you finesse that magic spot near the lockset.

50. Good on you for calling
There is a Police report posted somewhere upthread, saying that it appears someone shot into the air and the descending bullet damaged the pane but not the blinds.

I would like to re-emphasize that this office is home to a direct mail marketing firm that services numerous repub candidates and interests. Cantor may have financial interest in this firm but at this point it looks more as if he is a client:

If none was filed, he's made the whole thing up. You may not want to "use the incident for political advantage," but you'd have to call the police.
