No, NYT, O'Keefe Didn't 'Pose as a Pimp' Either
Yet more evidence that O'Keefe did not 'represent himself' as the NYTimes and its Public Editor continue to claim...

Yesterday's limp New York Times "correction" to their six months of repeated misreporting on the ACORN "Pimp" Hoax, while finally acknowledging that O'Keefe never "dressed as" his infamous 70's-era "pimp" character, still inaccurately asserts that he "posed as" one in the ACORN offices.

On Sunday, as the Times Public Editor Clark Hoyt admitted that both he and the Times were "wrong" in regard to the purposeful hoax that O'Keefe played on the media as to what he actually wore in his heavily-edited video tapes, but stands by the assertion that the Rightwing scammer "clearly presented himself as" a pimp to the unsuspecting ACORN workers.

Well, no, as we've shown time and again, he didn't do that either. He presented himself by posing as the law school student (or sometimes a banker or politician) boyfriend to Hannah Giles who was dressed similarly to a prostitute. During the secretly-taped interviews, they both told the low-level ACORN and ACORN Housing workers they were trying to save her from an abusive pimp who had attempted to stalk and kill her.

Yet, the Times is still standing by its inaccurate reporting.

So, to help them out, here are just a few more examples of O'Keefe "posing as a pimp," as the New York Times, the "paper of record," would have you believe, as taken from O'Keefe's own unauthenticated text transcripts...

11. Public broadcasting was destroyed -- radio + TV -- long, long ago by Repugs ...
Date back to the "fund raisers" . . . and you're pretty much there.

Corporation for Public Broadcasting was a right wing add-on of a PRIVATE COMPANY

to run PBS!!

One of my PBS stations has been showing reruns of "Bonanza" -- !!

2. Are they just stupid, or are they complicit but had to
respond to the outrage so they did it half-heartedly.

How about they call O'Keefe and ask him directly. He's involved in a lawsuit now with ACORN, so he can't lie as freely as he has in the past.

When Mike Stark asked Breitbart whether or not O'Keefe had posed as a pimp, he claimed he couldn't speak for him, but didn't answer the question.

It's the NY TIMES! Don't they have reporters who know how to get to the bottom of a story like this? And, just viewing the videos they did release, there is nothing to show what they were doing, as there is so much editing and voice-overs and no shots of the two of them.

6. Now that you mention it, I think you have to be stupid
to allow yourself to be used by people like this, and you have to have pretty low moral standards yourself. The NY Times hasn't distinguished itself as a reliable source over the past ten years. The only source I trust anymore is Bill Moyers.

IMO, the control of CIA and Pentagon over the corporate-press became too much

for the NY Times back quite a while ago --

Think they just want out of the business --

See: Operation Mockingbird --

Also: Carl Bernstein on "CIA journalists" --

Meanwhile, the Congress has continually refused to bar CIA "journalists" from the press.

5. The sad truth: Bushiganda combined with Gleichschaltung WORKS!
Not just the ACORN Op, but dozens, maybe hundreds of laundered Bushiganda falsehoods that have travelled the same path of being laundered from 100% falsehood to "conventional wisdom".

Though I have witnessed this process dozens of times before, the power of Bushiganda combined with a complicit Corporate M$M never fails to astonish.

We are almost completely a 1950s dystopian novel now.

Can you, Brad?

(though I applaud your pluck and spirit and keep on fighting the good fight!)

7. I have been saying the NYT blows for a long time now
The few good journalists they have left should try to find work at some reputable paper.

10. It's been over there for quite some time now . . .
Think they're fairly anxious to shut it down --

My opinion is too much control lost to CIA and Pentagon . . . who seem

to have been running the newspaper.

8. They don't appear to have any interest in honoring being credible.
That would be okay if they were anyone but who they are supposed to be.

If one of the most long standing national venues of information source can't be more earnest about the accuracy of what it chooses to publish and then refuses to acknowledge errors as a result of that failure...short sighted, selfish and sad.

The shelf life of the newspaper as an industry may be finite, but these bozos threaten to shorten and taint what might remain of it.

You sir, honed in on this from the start and stuck with it 'til it left the GOP with a bit of a bloody nose. Nicely Done!
