Making a motion now on Senate floor: Let's temporarily send the bill back to committee to strip out all 'taxes' to middle class, those making less than $250K.

On edit, this dates back to discussions they've had previously, whereby Crapo's amendment was narrowly defeated. GOPers are worried it will conflict with Obama's pledge not to raise taxes:

A related Baucus bill was adopted:

A related amendment offered by Senator Max Baucus (D-MT) with non-binding “Sense of the Senate” language was adopted by a vote of 97 to 1.

It says that the “Senate should reject any procedural maneuver that would raise taxes on middle class families.” It also says that the Crapo motion was “designed to kill” the underlying legislation
