In mass? Refused to watch....so they couldn't play all the pharma ads and other shit.

Something we have done, and something I would LOVE to see.

The media DOES NOT CARE about our country and its people. (this is a broad generalization, but I am sure Keith and Rachel would understand and even support this sort of thing).

I can dream, can't I?

3. We are much happier since pretty much cutting our TV watching to a minimum.
a few sports events, a bit of local weather. that's it.

I know it isn't for everyone....but we are a zillion times happier, I expect.

A 30 day boycott, like the Montgomery Bus boycotts.

Yep, it's a fantasy. :(

10. Real townhalls, real discussions, longer attention spans?
Fewer townhalls, fewer discussions, shorter attention spans?

It would be interesting to find out; though I'd prefer we find out through choice rather than circumstances beyond our control. Circumstances beyond our control would look like an old Twilight Zone episode.

7. What would happen if gravity suddenly reversed and we all flew into the sky?
I don't even own a TV but what you asked is about as likely as my question..

The revolution won't come until the cable TV is shut off and then it will be swift and terrible to behold.

You could argue it's not the media's job to care about one country, it's to report the truth
Not that they do a good job of that very often, either.

8. more babies, lots more babies, a veritable baby boom. BOOM!
All that free time and so much less stress and angst would lead to massive frequent copulations and the associated boom of babies!

14. Well, of course it would!
Because everyone in this world is heterosexual, everyone in this world has a readily available person of the opposite sex to screw with anytime they want, and birth control doesn't exist!

9. I only watch Keith and Rachel
I stopped watching everything else after the MSM did the over the top cheerleading for the war in Afghanistan and Iraq. It was in 2003 sometime. Earlier than year they totally ignored the millions of marchers all over the world objecting to Bush's wars. Bush himself called the protesters a 'focus group' and said he didn't make decisions based on focus groups.

16. It happens from time to time.
I think it's when there are 2 or more posts at the exact same time. And I don't mean "5:40" exact same time, I mean in posting time, when you all hit "post", it was the exact same time down to the, like, hundredth of a second. But I hope Skinner answers, because I've always wanted to know.

13. same thing that happened to Glenn beck after losing all his sponsors (100+)
Nothing. They don't do "it" for the money. It's an entirely political monopoly enterprise. Plunging ratings would do nothing more than remove the less-objectionable media outlets (MSNBC? LINK?)from the channel lineup leaving a bunch of happy fat Faux n clones unaware of their own lack of popularity--or just lying about it.

15. I ignore the MSM and they ignore me.
Television news is utterly useless to me. I learn more about life watching my bird feeder.
