Like gold, reality nuggets keep surfacing
I got a chuckle from a Steven Hadley quote from the NYT story "Quiet Bush Aide Seeks Iraq Czar, Creating a Stir".
“What we need,” he said in a recent interview, “is someone with a lot of stature within the government who can make things happen.”

This cabal is really amazing. . .

2. you have to wonder
is the reason they won't ask Gonzo to resign because they know that won't be able to find anyone to take the job, let alone get the nomination out of committee?

8. Jeff Redfern wants it
We just as well give it to a fictional character, it would fit right in the chimpenfuhrer's* reality.

Repuke, Independent OR Democrat FELT the NEED for any kind of CZAR, especially a WAR CZAR! Not One!!!

Most stated that The IDIOT, The DECIDER... or whatever one wants to call him... is SUPPOSED to be The Commander In Chief and it's HIS JOB!!! One that MOST don't think he even has a clue about!!

NOT ONE PERSON! At least I didn't hear one!

5. I thought surely that pious wackjob Boykin would apply
because, after all, as "war czar" he'd be in a perfect position to beat that Jebus drum to the Iraqis.

Too bad, really, because after 6 months of Boykin's idiocy, the Iraqis would likely find a way to work together to get rid of him and his occupation.

7. They have been reduced to the rationale that all politics are corrupt...so what.
It's just business as usual, who needs a constitution, the rule of law belongs to those in power. They really believe that, even as they lead the United States into the chaotic abyss of anarchy.

12. Bush wants a war Czar
So he can say that he's not the one to blame for the disaster in Iraq, he doesn't want to be commander in chief anymore, the war in Iraq bores him and makes him look bad, so if he can just find someone else to be the whipping boy for it, he'll do it.

13. Unbefreakinleavable is more like it
After they bomb the s**t out of two countries, chiffonade the Constitution & the Bill of Rights, reintroduce the Medieval concept of torture and run our grandchildren out of money, NOW they want a government leader who can concentrate on the "problem" 24/7 & figure out how the hell to get out of Iraq?

I cannot understand how this specific topic can be addressed at high levels of government with people dying every minute, and the MSM isn't outraged enough themselves to debate it every hour.

No, we have to wait for the list of prostitutes & johns - much more important.

17. They HAD someone within the govt with a lot of stature.

But they destroyed his credibility when they made him lie to the UN & the American people.
