Massa Recalls Sexual Misconduct Allegation From Navy Days: Rep Massa-Bate
Massa in the Navy remembers seaman

Massa Recalls Sexual Misconduct Allegation From Navy Days

In the same radio monologue in which he admitted telling a male staffer, "what I really ought to be doing is fracking you," Rep. Eric Massa (D-NY)
defiantly recounted a misconduct allegation from his past that arose after he walked in on a Navy roommate masturbating.

The incident occurred during Desert Storm when Massa, who served for 24 years in the Navy, was based on a ship in the Persian Gulf. He was
assigned to watch duty, Massa said on the radio show Sunday. One day, Massa came back early to the small room he shared with another crew
member.

"I arrived back early from that and opened the door and -- not to put quite a light on it -- but the other gentleman was busy remembering his
spouse. And I'll let your imaginations run wild," Massa said.

"I walked in and instead of embarrassing him I smacked him on the leg and said, 'you need any help with that, let me know.' And I went to bed.
And he was so hideously embarrassed, he moved out of the state room, because he couldn't take it. Ladies and gentleman, we had been at sea
for four months."

but you don't just run out and resign because you are gay. People have survived worse, and he would just not run again.

If that was the case, he wouldn't be telling stories of a naked chief of staff yelling at him, he'd want to be quiet and disapear.

Looks like a guy who just found out he's not going to be around soon and is having some fun with people who pissed him off.

My Dad said some really wacky shit when the Doc told him he had 12 weeks to live in the first week.

Kept asking me and my best friend to go to a bar with him and start a bar fight.

I'm pretty sure there is a file with every stupid thing Massa did while he was there, and seeing he's human, he's done tons of stupid shit.

You don't publicly call out the chief of staff of the President that way unless you are totally unafraid of the consequences.

He's dying. Rahm probably already knows that. If anything, Rahm probably isn't even angry over the incident on his radio show, probably even got a laugh about it, because it is probably true, and he knows Massa isn't going to be around at the end of the year.

The man had massive cancer problems recently. Enough to require a year of treatment. Remission in those cases are generally not good.

Like I said, my Dad, wanting to pick bar fights, asking girls out on the street on my behalf, insisting his sister who doesn't drink have scotch with him, really wierd shit the week he found out.

There is something it does to you, knowing your life has a very finite timeline, and that timeline is measured in months or weeks not years.

3. He's dying of cancer
When that happened to my father, he said some wild and crazy things as well.

There is something about the knowledge that you are going to die, that loosens your toungue.

14. It's really hard to follow the bouncing ball in this Massa story. We hear
that he has been forced to resign by the evil-hearted Rahm Emanuel for not supporting health care reform.

Or possibly because he may become the subject of an investigation involving sexual harassment of a staff member, that is, a person on his staff, no, that isn't right either, we need something without either the word 'member' or the word 'staff'; how about a male individual in his Congressional office? There we go.

Now we learn of a by-gone scandal, or not, amid the languid breezes of the Persian Gulf, involving his walking in on someone masturbating at sea.

"Ladies and gentlem(e)n, we had been at sea for four months," is offered as grand context for this incident, but it suggests that there is a specific threshold of weeks or months past which humans in limited quarters may be expected to lapse into disinhibition and bohemian eroticism. And evidently that threshold point is prior to four months.

Keep in mind these are your tax dollars at work.

The journalist penning this story indicates that Massa had been assigned to "watch duty," by which I assume neither his observation nor commentary was required in the above-referenced incident.
