How is the Senate health care reform bill different from Romneycare?

I've been reading a couple of articles on Romneycare, and it sounds an awful lot like the Senate bill.

If Democrats only have the courage to pass Republican ideas, how will they justify keeping their jobs in 2012 or even this November?

Even Bush passed a Medicare expansion (albeit one that was too pharma friendly).

What choice are we being given between the two parties if they both let the corporate lobbyists write the legislation that should be regulating and serving as a choke chain when they get out of line?

1. It's a Republican wet dream from the Nixon administration.

But now it's the Democrats who are backing it so the Republicans hate it.

btw Medicare Part D was not only PhRMA friendly but you have to buy it through private insurance. THERE IS NO PUBLIC OPTION there either and it's rapidly draining Medicare of money that is being funneled to United Health Care, et al.
