Woman Charged After Dog Found Frozen In Kennel
Yolonda Glover Charged With Felony Animal Cruelty

OMAHA, Neb. - KETV.com

The Nebraska Humane Society said an Omaha woman has been charged with felony animal cruelty after her dog was found frozen to death in her back yard.

NHS investigators and Omaha police were called to a home near 41st Street and Curtis Avenue on Feb. 1. They said they found a dead German shepherd frozen to the floor of a plastic kennel. A necropsy was conducted and it was determined the dog died of starvation and hypothermia, investigators said.

1. One reason I can't watch that Animal Planet show
It's too hard to think about how cruel people can be.

4. I can't either
The dogs freak out when I freak out, I have a service dog Dora, who alerts to seizures, heart attack and even cancer in a stranger..she sees me distraught and it upsets her.
AshleyII and Callie get all agitated and bark at the tv reacting to suspects I guess.

3. Thats cruel why have a dog if you are going to just tie them out?
Dogs are pack animals and need interaction.

5. you are so right
I also have real problems with people that own dogs and keep them locked up in crates all day. They only see the light of day often on the weekends when their owners are home.

What kind of life is this for any living thing?

Some people simply do not deserve to have the privilege of owning a dog/cat, whatever.

:kick: & recommend.

6. She Should Be Sent To Jail
Pets should be a part of the family not lawn ornaments. This is the exact reason I do not own a dog. I do not have the time it takes to be a good owner so I choose not to have a dog. What is so hard about using your brain when it comes to pets and children. Either make the decision to devote the necessary time to care for them properly or don't have them. Does this woman have children? If so, someone needs to check their safety.
