Up Or Down. 14 Feb 10
.

It is time. The Democratic Party has exhausted every possible excuse to avoid doing the right thing. The people voted for members of Congress to enact laws.

The members of the Democratic Party have run out of excuses, it is time. No more half-stepping, no more posturing. It is time for a vote.

Bring the major legislative actions (Health Care) to an "Up Or Down" vote.

Should any piece of legislation be threatened with a filibuster, the Democratic Party response MUST be "Bring it to the floor." Give the piece of legislation an up or down vote.

No more 'sun was in my eyes and it was too dark to see.' Bring it to a vote!

1. I agree.

I'm not a fan of the health care bill but at this point letting it fade into oblivion would be a death sentence for issue for years to come IMO. Furthermore the failure of this particular issue anchors Democrats with the one unforgivable sin going into an election year. Weakness and ineffectual leadership.

We still have huge majorities in both houses. I happen to believe exercising those majorities, enforcing party discipline and forcing the bills we want on some kind of clear principle will earn us the respect of the wavering center. Voters have a short memory for issues but they respect strength.

2. I agree. Since this is a country that strictly follows The Constitution and The Rule Of Law
And whose duly elected leaders tirelessly and without fail follow their Oath, and adhere to the job they were hired for, providing Representative Government to We The People, this will undoubtedly happen.

Oh, Wait.....
