 As a former NYer, OK, that's enough. :D

1. We had about two inches in Savannah in the winter of '68.
Stayed on the ground from early morning until mid-afternoon. It seemed miraculous!

5. I picked a fine time to move here!
 I prefer this at 32 degrees to the sometimes 20's we've experienced this winter. :scared: :fistbump:

11. Knock the snow off your dish
Just a little, wet snow especially, can move your dish just enough to lose the satellite.

Unfortunately, I can't get to the dish. Can't reach it from the ground and would probably kill myself on a slippery ladder in the dark. I'll get someone to do it tomorrow if it doesn't come back on tonight. Too bad I don't have a leaf blower or blowtorch!

2. When I was growing up there
we would get snow about once every five years. From what I hear that pattern held till the mid ninties.

3. Yup. My daughter just called, she lives in Savannah.
The ground is covered as are the cars, but it's not sticking on the roads. According to the local radio, it's the first snow in 20 years!
