The sad saga began nearly two years ago - March 24, 2008 - when the girl arrived at school with racist graffiti scrawled on her skin. Sent home with instructions to scrub them off, she appeared the next day emblazoned with bolder slogans: White Pride, Aryan Pride, a coded form of Heil Hitler and the sentence, "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children."

Teachers called in social workers. During interviews, they found that the family's belief in white supremacy went far deeper. She calmly explained to them that "black people don't belong" and described a method of killing minorities using a ball and chain.

There are more than a few people who don't know what the coded messages of the Neo-Nazi movement are.

The first one is "88." "H" is the eighth letter of the English alphabet. It is shorthand for "Heil Hitler." Another one is "18." It represents the first and eighth letters of the English alphabet, 'A' and "H;" "Adolph Hitler." The sentence is often represented in number form as well, it is "14." It is because the sentence has 14 words in it. It was coined by a white supremacist.

The numbers are sometimes combined. The most common ways are:

1488: "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children." "Heil Hitler!"
1418: "We must secure the existence of our people and a future for white children." "Adolph Hitler" (as if a quote by Hitler, himself)
1888: "Adolph Hitler." "Heil Hitler!"

Most of the combinations can be altered, but the ones I see the most are "1488" or "8814" (the reverse).
