'WARNING: Tea Party In Danger': Leader Slams PALIN As 'WOLF In Sheep's Clothing'
A prominent Tea Party leader from Texas is warning that the movement "is becoming nothing more than a wholly owned subsidiary of the Republican Party," and slamming Sarah Palin as representing "a growing insider's attack to the heart of the Tea Party."

Dale Robertson, the founder of TeaParty.org, is just the latest Tea Partier to express concern that the movement is being hijacked by the GOP.

In a lengthy statement -- entitled "Warning: Tea Party In Danger" -- posted yesterday on the TeaParty.org homepage, Robertson instructs his felllow Tea Partiers to "be alert to turncoats and deceivers being herded into the Tea Party by usurpers from the weakened Republican Party for the sole purpose of capturing our populist movement."

Robertson continues:

" What I am witnessing is an attempted defilement of the concept of what the Tea Party's purposes are and where we are going. The bastardization of our message I find bilious and disingenuous on its face.

Tea Party members are being eyed as just another piece of voting meat. Tea Party members are targeted for filling the rank and file of minion laden political operations, most of which are lead (sic) by failed Republican hacks."

As for Palin, whose appearance last week at a controversial Tea Party convention appears to have given her a claim to be the de facto leader of the Tea Party movement, Robertson derides her "neo-con flippant viewpoint" and calls her "a duck out of water among true constitutional conservatives."

He adds:

She represents a growing insider's attack to the heart of the Tea Party. Very much like a wolf in sheep's clothing entering in at the gate as an ally, but for all intents and purposes there to seize and capture, not only one or two stray sheep, but the whole flock!

You can read Robertson's full statement here.

1. Now that the Tea Baggers have rejected her, where can she go?
Maybe she and Bachmann can form their own party and further splinter the GOP. They can call it the PWACK - People without a clue klan.

and here these tea baggers are resisting being absorbed by the Republicans. Robertson is right, of course. It just hit me funny. :)

7. Exactly
"No Pay, No Play" Palin, feh.

She reminds me of that cutthroat butcher Bill Cutting in the movie "Gangs of New York", who said, "Don't you ever come in here empty-handed again. You have to PAY for the privilege of my company."

10. I was just thinking about this. Didn't the tea party start off as a Ron Paul thing?
The repukes wrestled it from when they saw it was a good way to fleece the masses and they wanted their own protest machine/movement they could control.

11. Ron Paul believes that to be the case also.
" In the face of several electoral challenges from tea party-connected candidates, Texas Republican Congressman Ron Paul cautioned in a recent interview that "neocon influence" is "infiltrating" the movement he is often credited for creating."

19. What ron paul is: is a libertarian show man.
he likes to associate with the repukes, but falls back on his libertarian roots when it's convenient.

You know what a libertarian is, right? a pot smoking repuke. LOL

I, sadly, know full well the power of stupidity that spews from dr. paul's mouth, I am a Texan.

His motto should be, "what's good for the people, doesn't matter to me!"

Read his platform sometime, he's the broken clock candidate, he wants out of the war (who doesn't) and he wants pot legalized (who doesn't), beyond that, he's a fringe a repuke as you get.

25. Palin endorsed his supposedly
strict constitutionalist anti-war Tea Party son Rand Paul for Senate in Ohio. Rand Paul accepted the endorsement heartily. These people will say anything and take any stance to get power back. The dont believe in anything else. Believing Republcans--even the ones with a libertarian face is like believing George "I dont believe in Nation building" Bush would be a pacifist

believe Paul --- since his son Rand enthusiastically accepted Palins endorsement . I am more inclined to believe that they are in cahoots and being deceptive.

26. this Dale Robertson?

Dale Robertson, a Tea Party activist who operates TeaParty.org, is getting stung for an old photo — taken at the Feb. 27, 2009 Tea Party in Houston — in which he holds a sign reading “Congress = Slaveowner, Taxpayer = Niggar.”

30. I don't believe ONE word of this shit
Call me tinfoil-y, but I think this is a public ploy to prop up their "independent, grassroots third-way" myth that allegedly hates both parties and isn't only a mouthpiece for gop racists, corporate shills and anti-taxers...(We of course had one of their defenders in GD a few days ago stressing how much disillusion they allegedly had for both parties, but couldn't explain why there was no organized 'party' until the day after Obama's swearing-in).

This so called "leader" of the movement, if he knows jack about shit, already KNEW long ago exactly who Palin really is, what she represents, and what her motivations are... And yet his organization still bent over backwards paying the fee and promoting the hell out of her speech to the 600-strong IHOP dinner crowd...

Funny how silent those alleged criticisms were before the event...Clearly some were "concerned," but not concerned enough to shut out Palin with the nonstop national publicity circus in tow... Someone was savvy enough to know that with no star attraction; even C-SPAN isn't sending a camera crew to their meaningless hatefest...

And as an aside, my fuse is growing short with DUers who say we should reach out to these types and legitimize their fraudulent smoke-and-mirrors 'movement'... I don't think I've ever seen a political party with no candidates for any office (much less win a race) get so much attention...
