5. No, that's true. At it's heart it's a populist movement

of people who realize they're getting the shaft but don't know why. At the top, it's a bunch of GOP admen who are trying to keep them focused on all the wrong people. So far, those admen are succeeding and that's the reason for the perception.

I think it holds up with other polling - with the numbers of the bush base, the teabagger numbers, etc. Of course, the way it is worded the racist element is lumped in with the CT nutbags and while there is some crossover between them CT nutbags are not necessarily racist.
