Ben Nelson and Lincoln help block an appointment and Obama says nothing about it. It's not even an uproar over this. When Cao votes for HCR he has to get extra security. It seems like we just aren't as passionate as the other side. I once saw a q&a with Obama where he said he admired the simplicity of conservative beliefs. Right now the Republicans are just sitting back, not doing nothing, and their numbers are rising. Simple, but disgusting. And Ever day dems look even more divided.

1. The Republicans were permitted to block the appointment. It could have been easily unblocked .

It wasn't even a filibuster. Just a procedural gimmick to supposedly "block" and appointment.

3. It's the Reeps in Dem clothing that allow the Reeps to do nothing.
There aren't that many progressive Dems.

Too many are Reeps in everything but name.

5. As much as I disagree with the Republicans on their policies
and beliefs, at least they stick to their beliefs and their policies and fight for them.

Too many on our side have this guilt thing going on. They side with the Republicans on issues even when it goes against what they say they stood for, because they are afraid to be called liberals. Yet, they are called liberals day in and day out anyhow. Why not stand the fuck up and earn the title?

The Republicans aren't budging. Capitulating to them does no good whatsoever. It derails any real progress and pushes the country further right. That is the LAST thing we need. It's already so far right, it is about to go off the cliff like that mountain climber on The Price Is Right. That's exactly what it looks like to me.

6. Who's good at math?
If the Republicans only have 41 Senators & 53 people voted NO, who else besides Nelson & Lincoln are responsible?
