Euro-fascist, Franco?

After we beat Hitler, we left Franco in place until he died of old age in the 70s.

Did the conservatives ever bitch about that, or did they spooge over photos of him like Grover Norquist does with Pinochet?

1. And when they accuse us of having lost Vietnam, I say, so what?
The tragedy was in losing 50,000 lives for nothing, not for pulling out when we finally did.

How were we harmed after we "lost"? What bad things happened to us as a result of leaving Vietnam? True, we were unable to stop the communist takeover. But now we have relations with Vietnam, and even with China.

3. ---After the war the sides whiched
then the the commies were our enemy and the righties were our "friends" as long as they did not present a threat to anyone but their own countrymen. Remember we brought and protected nazi war criminals here because they had info on the Soviets. In Franco's case I don't think spooged but they were not cold either.

4. If Bush had been President in 1942
We might have invaded Spain, but left Japan and Germany alone.

6. Japan & Germany were after same thing Bush is: oil
Japan wanted it from the Dutch East Indies and Germany from Russia.

The "War on Terror" is the excuse not the reason for anything.

5. Repukes treat wars like football games.
If we killed every single person in Iraq (over 20 million), they would celebrate as if their football team just won the Super Bowl. We killed over 2 million innocent civilians in Southeast Asia, but that wasn't enough for these blood thirsty bastards.

7. History question
We didnt beat Hitler. It took the combined manpower and resources of the United States, the British Empire and the Soviet Union to destroy the the German armed forces.
