So back in 1997, I attended a Unitarian national get together in Nashville...
We had about 1,400 delegates, real delegates people chosen by their congregation to represent their church in Nashville.

It was a very liberal group and we had absolutely no press coverage, not even a mention in the Nashville newspapers or on the Nashville local news.

Just so you know.

Perhaps if we had misspelled a whole lot of words on placards and yelled and screamed at political figures.

Anyway, how much coverage did the networks devote to the anti-war protests.

Ever...

1. Yes, we'll easily have more people than that next Saturday
at the consecration of the new Episcopal bishop of Minnesota.

3. They claim 600, which was supposed to be the amount of tickets sold
But you never know, considering a bunch of them who got a glimmer of a clue at the list minute that they'd been ripped off, bowed out.

I was pushing for trying to pass a resolution to ask the Finance Committees to review our investments, you know, to try and get them to invest with a social strategy. The trouble I caused, Oy'

7. I think our beef should be with the media for this coverage.
Anti-war protests brought hundreds of thousands to the streets across the world and didn't receive this much coverage.

8. I'm praying that every last one of those Anti-War Protestors are telling at least one person @ day
about those protests and comparing the coverage to what these 600 are getting.

11. I don't think the whole coverage on all the networks for the whole time
the protests were going on equaled the amount of coverage the just MSNBC devoted to these people...

12. I went to a total of 6 of these: 2 in NYC and 4 in D.C.
Please believe me, Reality means a great deal to me: The absolute smallest one was about 10,000 people. The biggest ones, like Feb '03 in NYC and winter '04 in D.C. were CONSERVATIVELY speaking probably 200,000 - 300,000. Our city sent 3 charter bus loads to one of these big rallies.

Next to nothing in the media for anything and Nothing reveals more clearly that the media exist for one purpose and one purpose only, BRAINWASHING the People for their Trans-National Corporate Masters.
