Republicans. Country First as long as it isn't America.
Everyone has heard that Senator Richard Shelby (R-EU) has placed a hold on all Obama Administration nominees Which means that EVERY single appointment is now held hostage to the Senate filibuster rule.

Why? He is demanding that the Pentagon award the contract for aerial refueling tankers to Airbus, the European Union aerospace firm, instead of Boeing, the American company. So a Republican Senator is using his influence to award American jobs to France.

Richard Shelby -- a top Senate Republican -- is preparing to shut down the United States Senate to award a key military contract to French based Airbus.

A man of no consistency, or principles, who opposed giving support to American car firms but is prepared to blackmail the Senate of the United States of America to force them to award jobs to a European company.

This is a man who leaked top secret military information to Fox News, while sitting as a Member of the Senate Intelligence Committee.

This is a man who while Chair of the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, & Urban Affairs, opposed legislation that would have permitted additional competition in the title insurance industry. Shelby and his wife own between $1 million and $5 million of stock in Tuscaloosa Title Co. His staff said his opposition to the bills was completely unrelated to his relationship with Tuscaloosa Title.

So he has a great history of working for America.

Airbus could not meet the requirements of the bid. Shelby wants the bid terms changed so that they do meet them. He wants to reduce the specification so that Airbus can meet the requirements, Shelby is asking the Air Force to adjust its specs for these tankers so the company can meet them. He wants the Pentagon to game the contract.

Can you imagine the rabid right teabaggers, encouraged on by Fox, is a Democratic Senator wanted to blackmail the Senate into giving the military lower spec products?

Republicans. Enemies of America.

2. Remind the tea partiers
when ever they rant on about "American Patriots" that one of their Senators is holding up Congress on behalf of a French company.
