Former NASA astronaut Lisa Nowak, a Navy captain, now faces possible military punishment after her guilty plea in November for her alleged attack in Orlando on romantic rival Air Force Capt. Colleen Shipman, according to Florida Today.

Authorities with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service recently took custody of evidence in the Nowak criminal case, the newspaper is reporting.

A few options are available to the Navy to punish Nowak, who could be dismissed from the Navy, lose her pension and be forced to retire, according to Florida Today.

In November, Nowak pleaded guilty to burglary of a conveyance, a third-degree felony, and to misdemeanor battery, under a plea agreement in the incident involving Shipman...
