Wealthcarers are worried poor things. Calling the expiration a tax increase. Fuck 'em! Entitlers only thought they were entitled.

1. That's actually a very good way to start phrasing this as the battle heats up...
The Republicans feel they are ENTITLED to their tax cut. They want to cut ENTITLEMENT programs for everyone else, but their ENTITLEMENT must be spared.

Fuck them all.

4. It's only fair that they pay for their wars with their taxes
Because it not like they pay for their wars in any other way.
They leave that to the poor and middle class kids too.

10. They do want the deficit reduced: the only way to do that is the cut THEIR taxes!
You see, then they'll all have so much more money that they'll open new factories and employ all of the peons. Don't you get it.

I mean, it worked so splendidly under Reagan and Bush, right?

12. They are worried.
If the tax cuts expire, they have to start over with new legislation to cut taxes. While the Bush cuts are still in effect, they can easily frame the expiration as a Democratic tax hike.

14. Haven't we suffered enough already?
The value of my chalets is far below what they're worth. It costs a fortune to fill my jet's tank. And my Central American house staff is hinting that they'd like some kind of ... well, ... benefits. Like health care.

Now you want me to pay my share of taxes? This is too much!
