Is impeachment & removal of the fascists STILL an impossible dream?
Impeachment is so easy, just look back a few years, a child could pull off an impeachment, yet, it's off the table. Even discussing it in some quarters will get you laughed at and given the crazy sign to the head.

Most call it an impossible dream, when Little Big Man Dennis Kucinich offered articles of impeachment just like bob barr did against Clinton as soon as Bill took office, the large talking head lady on cnn said the chances of an actual impeachment of the assholes is a far fetched, near impossibility.

Is it? Even now? Does it feel different now? We've been screaming the I word for years and apparently we made everyone deaf.

Is impeachment within the realm of possibility yet, or is it still laughable? How bout that other I word: I M P R I S O N M E N T-------?

1. It is not impossible
But Dennis needs our help to convince the Dem leadership, which, so far, has "played it safe". Speaker Pelosi needs to hear from us, Majpority Leader Reid needs to hear from us, our local Reps need to hear from us. Remind them that we elected them to nake substantive changes to the way the country is being run, and to defend the Constitution. Remind them that crimes such as those committed by Cheney ARE impeachable. Let's see if the leadership has what it takes to lead.

2. It doesn't make sense not to impeach.
The Constitution offers a means to get rid of criminals in the Executive Branch. Why can't we use it? I truly don't understand.

It isn't really because there is no sex involved (they are all Republicans), is it?

3. No, it's not impossible or a dream.
Doesn't mean it's going to happen, either.

But just look at the past few years - things, including the attitudes of Americans, can change pretty fast.

4. I don't know. The ruling elite is against it. I'm still going to try for the right thing.
Just because I don't know doesn't mean I will quit trying. I may even decide not to participate in politics as usual our rulers (whoever they are that lurk in the shadows) want us to.

5. Apparently so, since the vast majority of Dems in Congress lack the spine to pull this off
Pelosi took impeachment off the table before the Congress was even seated. The majority of Dems are worried about offending somebody, who it isn't exactly clear, their constituents, the administration, their corporate masters:shrug:

So Kucinich and a few brave others are going to go into a battle where most Dems refuse to go. He will be called a crank, a crackpot, trying to hog the spotlight for his election run, all those nasty insults, much like what he had to endure for his vote against the IWR. But you know what, Kucinich was right on that, and he is right on impeachment. How many laws does Bush get to break before he is held to account? We've all counted these broken laws time and again, yet our so called leaders meekly acquiess to this ongoing destruction of our country. I'm sorry, but if they continue to stand by and do nothing except wringing their hands and mouthing polite nothings, they too are complicit in this mess.

Kucinich is the only one out there who is doing the right thing. Sadly, doing the right, the moral thing doesn't translate in getting the party nomination. He won't kowtow to the coporate masters, therefore he will be shut out and demonized. And people around here wonder why the party is going to hell.
