And I am seeing it as a good thing... thing are going well.

I will give you a concrete example of ahem complaining that they were plaing favorites by oh day four of a disaster.

Remember the Mexico City Quake?

Well the airport was not damaged, and that airport has the capacity to handle the same number of flights as JFK... to give you an idea. It never closed for civilian flights either, ok it did, the time it took Engineers to make sure the two runways and the terminals and the towers were still fine.

So it took 12 hours for the Mexican Government to accept international aide... but Mexico kept control of the airfield, and air space control.

So predictably, by day four... there were the SAME complaints, that Mexico, the host country, was playing favorites... and that was an Airport that was still handling regular flights and on top of that relief flights.

As I said before, the children complaining that my toys are not coming in is not new, it happens every time.

When it happens by day two, it's a bad sign. When it happens now... it's a good sign.

2. Day six, yes, that is standard, they are switching gears from
search rescue to recovery

And teams will be pulled from the field.

And yes it is frustrating to the team members... as hell... but this is SOP.

They will only work with a few teams for two more days in places where tehy still got a couple hits of possible alive recoveries... read the supermarket.

3. Yes I have a friend leaving today
with Fema search and rescue. He said last night that "at this point it will be mostly a recovery mission"
