Come on, Wyclef. At the very least, you are commingling funds.
Even if your heart is in the right place, the whole effort is contaminated by sloppy accounting.

1. His charity repeatedly had its corp status dissolved for failing to file required disclosure rpts.
From The Smoking Gun which has the documents:

The longest involuntarily dissolution lasted 26 months, ending in November 2008 when Jean's organization provided Florida officials with overdue annual reports disclosing the identities of the group's officers and directors, its registered agent, and office address. The foundation's most recent dissolution occurred in September 2009, but was vacated a month later when the 37-year-old Jean's group filed its disclosure report.

3. I find these facts inconvenient. Still, this is why we need sunshine on charities.
I hope they clean up their act quickly. The needs in Haiti are too serious to be sloppy about the donations. In the mean time, I'll keep my donations going to Red Cross.
