2. yeah damn that reality.
Why can't it be just like the ideologues say it's gonna be? But see, all you have to do to make it happen is to try hard enough and spend enough money! That's the ticket! We deciders know what's best for all the dumb ignorant amer'cans who think we gotta quit. :sarcasm:

9. That sonofabitch just said "late summer" ... Hello late September (at the earliest)
I'm thinking James Taylor's "October Road."

Just last week, it was still August.

10. Al Franken had a good line on this: what was the good news here on 9/11?
Did a kid learn to ride his bike? Did someone help an old lady across the street, or win a spelling bee? Hell, you don't even have to go to 9/11. How about the day of the Virginia Tech shooting? What was the good news that day? Why did everything have to be so darn negative?

11. the other funny angle on this: summer pop a paper bag behind Bush
and after he pisses himself and throws a hissy fit ask, "yeah, but what was the GOOD news while that was happening?"

14. The new "normal" in Iraq is living with the
knowledge that at any moment you could die a violent death. Before the US illegally invaded the country in 2003, average citizens went about their business. Children attended school. People went to work. They went shopping or to a restaurant. Now those who haven't yet fled the country are busy burying loved ones, and trying to cope without electricity or running water in a place too dangerous to step outside. This is the kind of "normal" the chimp thinks is just great. He is one seriously sick bastard.

16. 32 Americans die in an attack in one day and the whole nation mourns.
That and much worse happens somewhere in Iraq at least a couple of times a week, and Iraq is much smaller than the U.S. If only Bush could understand that the reason the news on TV about Iraq is so bad is because it is so bad there. He is in total denial. He does not have the ability or strength to face reality. His denial is a sign of weakness.
