There is no doubt about providing health care to the survivors in Haiti

It is a human instinct to respond is such manner.
Why do we not address our mutual needs for health care in the same way when it is not an emergency of such scale?
Could we all imagine what this situation would be like if the Insurance Moguls were in charge?

I saw a small article - about how (thank goodness, it seemed to say) few in Haiti had any insurance, so the catastrophe wouldn't have much impact on the industry.

I sat there with my jaw hanging open.

Possibly hundreds of thousands dead, more missing and grievously injured, an entire city leveled, and we're supposed to be relieved that the insurance industry won't be taking a hit on this one?
