MN Caucuses on February 2 this year.
Edited on Sun Jan-17-10 09:56 AM by MineralMan
I cross-posted this in the Minnesota forum, but not everyone goes there.

Check the DFL site for the location of your precinct caucus. In most cases, your Senate District or County caucus will follow the precinct caucus in the same location.

IF YOU AREN'T THERE, YOU DON'T REALLY CARE!

1. Why does MN caucus in FEBRUARY? It's still the middle of
a very cold & snowy winter there then! I would THINK both parties would rather caucus in maybe May. Im sure they'd get more participation!

2. Why? Because the primaries are coming up and we have to
hold our state convention in time to endorse candidates. Minnesotans have no problem getting out in February. How do you suppose we go to work?

We've been doing this for a long, long time.

5. Oh, I know you're right. I 've been to MN & ND in the summer & they're absolutely beautiful
areas, but I know I sure couldn't survive the winters! A couple of my friends lived in Fargo, and I have pics of the white outs and all the snow & ice! I remember when I visited there, I asked why in the world everybody had an electric plug hanging out of the grill on their car? Brrrrr. I'm shivering just thinking about it!

3. That's the ticket...the less that show up the better the
chances for the RULERS to put their candidates to win. I know everyone wanted Obama. But the reason the polls in Minnesota all went for Hillary and then Obama won the caucus is because they changed the places around. they made them inaccessible for a lot of people...fifty miles away from where we lived and NO transportation. So the supporters of Obama found a way to get there and he was picked which was an upset. Remember the day before Hillary lead with over 55% of the poll. I was a Hillary supporter but it makes me angry that all these people who supported Obama are now panning and slurring him. He can't work miracles. He has a hard darn job trying to clean up bush's mess. I think you are unreasonable not to give the man at least a chance. At the end of this next year if he has made no progress then you can complain. But stop being a naysayer, give him a chance.

4. Thanks for the reminder. I love our caucuses
It always reminds me that here in the 6th District, where Michele Bachmann reigns, we are not alone. I am always amazed at the cross section of students, liberal professionals, union members, teachers and others that find common ground.

I will be caucusing for Tarryl Clark to defeat Bachmann. Please donate www.tarrylclark.com

6. I'm sure she will win the DFL endorsement.
I'll start working for her after the convention and all the way through the election.

We MUST defeat Bachmann.
