it's about the 2 US soldiers and 4 police officers kill in a blast in Afghanistan.

...I think what deserves a place in the Greatest even more is this, a large list of aid organizations that are responding to the earthquake in Haiti:

This is something that we all here at DU can agree upon, and pitch in to help immediately.

Stopping the killing in Afghanistan and getting us out is going to take a lot longer, and will require changing many more hearts and minds...most of them here in the US.

i did the text donation.

it just disturbed me to hell and back that you don't see this as breaking news anywhere, and the fact that yours was being unrecced. i don't normally give a shit about that kind of stuff, but it almost seems as if no one cares anymore.

2 deaths here, 3 more there, 1 tomorrow, another 2 the day after. it just looks like no one gives a shit anymore.

it's become acceptable. the deaths in Haiti are just as horrible as the deaths of our soldiers. both need attention.
