Peter Orszag's Love Child Revealed!

Hot on the heels of his holiday engagement comes the news that Obama's budget director Peter Orszag is the proud father of a baby girl with ex-girlfriend and shipping heiress Claire Milonas.

Orszag announced his engagement to ABC reporter Bianna Golodgryga on December 30 on Good Morning America--just six weeks after his jilted ex gave birth to their daughter, Tatiana Zoe.

The New York Post broke the salacious story Wednesday afternoon:

Orszag and Milonas, the daughter of New York-based Greek shipping magnate Spiros Milonas, were a serious item when he met the stunning Golodgryga at the White House correspondents' dinner.

‘‘Claire told Peter she was pregnant, and he said he’d marry her — and then something went wrong,’’ a source close to the situation told The Post.


A recent update to the Post's story, however, includes the following statement from both Orszag and Milonas:

"We were in a committed relationship until the spring of 2009. In November, Claire gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Although we are no longer together, we are both thrilled she is happy and healthy, and we would hope that everyone will respect her privacy."

Orszag already has two children from his first marriage. When he exchanges vows with Golodryga, it will be his second go-round.

Orszag and Milonas issued a joint statement, saying, "We were in a committed relationship until the spring of 2009. In November, Claire gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.

"Although we are no longer together, we are both thrilled she is happy and healthy, and we would hope that everyone will respect her privacy."

Orszag's friends disputed that Claire was jilted -- and said there weren't hard feelings.

They said Orszag and Milonas parted ways in March, and that Orszag and Golodryga didn't start dating until two months later.

"He made it clear that he wasn't going to marry her, but that he'd help take care of the baby," a source said.

Milonas -- a brainy Yale grad, Harvard MBA and venture capitalist -- and Orszag were featured together in a May 4 New Yorker article. Five days later, he was seated next to Golodryga at the White House correspondents fete.

Instantly smitten, Orszag, who is divorced with two kids, began squiring Golodryga to high-profile social and political events.

Meanwhile, in New York, Milonas registered at upscale baby boutiques and Amazon.com for a "wish list" of self-help books, including one titled "When Things Fall Apart: Heart Advice for Difficult Times."

Everyone should closely read today’s Washington Post story on the value-added tax, or VAT.

The cat is now out of the bag.

For months I have argued that Team Obama and the Democratic Congress were going to be forced to consider a VAT in order to pay for their extravagant spending.

Now borrowing almost 50 cents on every new dollar spent, the Democrats will at some point begin to deal with the politics of deficit reduction as a way of countering Republican criticisms about deficit expansion.

And the VAT’s part of their answer.

Senate Budget Committee chair Kent Conrad calls the VAT “fundamental tax reform,” and he argues for a VAT plus high-end income-tax hikes. The WaPo story talks about a White House conference earlier in the year where “a roomful of tax experts pleaded with Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner to consider a VAT.” Budget chief Peter Orszag hired prominent VAT supporter Ezekiel Emanuel -- the brother of White House staff director Rahm Emanuel -- as an adviser.

What if Peter had "knocked up" some poor gal living in Kentucky that he met when he was at a meeting and he met her in a Cocktail Lounge? She was a "free choice" person and carried the baby to term...but she finds out that Peter had already hooked up with someone else and was announcing the ENGAGEMENT to the WASHINGTON DC CROWD just SIX WEEKS AFTER SHE DELIVERED HIS BABY!

AND...what if Peter already had a FORMER WIFE and TWO CHILDREN he was SUPPORTING...after impregnating another woman who carries to term and NOW he's marrying SOMEONE NEW?

And if this guy is the person OBAMA (our NEW PRESIDENT) has PUT IN CHARGER OF BUDGE AND HEALTH CARE REFORM....WOULD YOU NOT THINK THAT SOME OF US WOULD BE FREAKED OUT ABOUT THIS??????????

12. Makes Me Question his Judgement

When the story first came out it made me question his judgement. That fact that he would move between two different relationship in such a short period of time after having already been divorced just seemed to show judgement issues. I am not some right winger trying to bash the guy, but he did move between those relations really fast. He ex-girlfriend became pregnant in about March and by May he was dating another woman.
