Boy Donates 500 Books To Hospital As Birthday Gift

BALTIMORE, Ohio — A 6th grader's birthday wish came true Wednesday when he was able to donate hundreds of books he had collected, 10TV News reported.

Josiah Rise's asked family and friends to donate books instead of giving him presents for his 12th birthday.

Rise was collecting the books to donate to the Ronald McDonald House near Nationwide Children's Hospital.

Rise delivered more than 500 books. His inspiration came after a family friend spent time at a Ronald McDonald House.

Families stay at the Ronald McDonald house while their children are receiving treatment at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
