1. Thanks for posting. I think I got something in my eyes.
Must be allergies.

2. There must be something in the air -- my eyes are a bit watery, also.
This was such an amazing video -- thank you so much for sharing this.

I am glad that Stanley will soon have a wonderful home to call his own.

7. I wish I could rescue them all.
I usually don't even watch videos or read emails like this, because I have all I can handle as it is, but it makes me so sad to think of how many more won't be rescued.

I have fostered dozens of kitties, and have 8 that didn't get adopted that are now permanently attached to my heart. But when I see a sad story.... it just makes me wish I could do more.

9. Just showed the clip to my wife who showed it to my daughter. They're still crying.
Looks like I ruined their day.

10. I rescued a little old fat Chihuahua this Christmas.
Edited on Wed Dec-30-09 04:22 PM by Kalyke
A young man nearly ran over him in front of our house. He stopped the car to shoo him out of the road and my husband saw it and thought it was the neighbor's little, old, fat Chihuahua.

My husband asked me to go get Maddie for our neighbor since the dog knows me and, when I went to get him, I discovered he was a "he" and not a "she;" therefore, he was NOT Maddie.

I put a free ad in the lost and found: a couple of calls, but it was not their dog.

I have no idea where he came from. He was cold, has the beginnings of cataracts, has lost some teeth, is neutered, though, and has some very minor skin rashes. He would not have been adopted.

So, Gordy (short for Gordito: Spanish for "little chubby") now has a home with me, my husband, Gordy's "boy" (he adores my son), my daughter and our three other dogs.

Merry Christmas to Gordy and my other rescues: Charlie, Snap and Woo Woo.

12. That's a nice story.
And I'm really happy to know Gordito means "little chubby". That little tidbit will not go unused.

13. Gordito is one lucky little boy...someone threw him out, and he found heaven with you.
