Are there some who will fight against the people in power/the system
no matter who it is because they are fundamentally in opposition to any authority?

3. Nah, they'll bend over and take anything when there's a GOP president.
They're all just anti-Dem. They don't even know WHAT they are protesting - just that FOX and Rush told them they should be protesting. Dubya eliminated a budget surplus and took us into record debt territory and wouldn't allow the cost of the elective wars to be included in the debt number. That didn't bother them a bit. A Democrat gets in office and all of a sudden they're concerned about spending. What idiots.

5. Absolute Power corrupts absolutely
so authority must be kept in extreme check.

In general, I believe it is ALWAYS appropriate to question the motives of any so-called authority.
