R. Sen. Tom Coburn saying on C-span that we're broke. So how can we continue
going to war. Henry says we're 39,000 external debt, and 39,000 internally in debt. Yet we bailed out the banks... http://www.c-span.org/Watch/C-SPAN2.aspx His complaint is that we can't afford health care. 190 billion dollar debt limit will have to be raised. Borrow against our children's future. I hope he used that argument to not bail out the banks, and send our troops to war, and when W. spent lots on a wall between the U.S. and Mexico.... The contradictions are stunning.

3. He wanted to go first. Harry said "no" and had Stabenow and Durbin go first.
He "pre-recessed" the session for immediately after Coburn finishes his 2 hours.

4. Nobody seemed to be concerned about
borrowing against our children's future when we had a Republican Congress and President. I'm no economist, but I know better than to cut taxes and then go on a spending spree.
