I feel like that's what the President is saying to me. He told us what we wanted to hear in order to raise money and get elected. When he got into office he became a different President.
Democrats run everything in government right now, and we still can't get what's needed to save this country. When are we going to have a super majority again like we have now and get another chance at this stuff? Maybe 10, 20 , 30 years? Maybe never? We get to a position that quite frankly, many on this board have never seen in their (short) lifetimes, and many worked very hard to get us here, and now can't understand why nothing has changed. I don't blame you for being pissed, I am too, but I have to say I'm not overly surprised. I am a bit more cynical when it comes to (most) politicians than some here.

Democrats DO NOT run everything in the government. Where have you been. republicans are an exclusive party today, that is why there are very few moderate republicans left. The Democratic party accepts everyone, for better or worse, and for that reason alone, Democrats DO NOT run everything.

Deservedly so. They are incompetent when it comes to governing for the people. They are as good as governing for the special interests as the Republicans. It is just that Republicans are a lot more honest about it.

I knew Obama was a centrist and I was ok with that. However he is showing signs of being ineffective at best, which given his brilliant campaign is shocking.
