| I fear we've elected President Lieberman. Just younger, better looking, and more articulate. |
|
In action, he's done nothing but sabotage the Democratic Party, and work AGAINST Progressives from behind that D next to his name.
I fear the 2012 elections will be a repeat of the Connecticut elections, with progressives battling against an alliance of Republicans (who will continue to curse his name for show, while supporting him behind the scenes), corporate Dems, and low-information voters.
Someone please talk me off the ledge--believe it or not, I DON'T WANT TO BE RIGHT ABOUT THIS! Talk some sense into me, I know I'm being ridiculous. I'm just very upset and frustrated today, and I feel like all the hard work we've done from before the '06 elections through today has been completely flushed down the drain!

That doesn't mean there is a "conspiracy" between Obama and Lieberman.
As far as I could tell, Obama looked PISSED OFF and TIRED yesterday. Biden said Lieberman was WRONG.

| 22. I don't think there's a conspiracy so much as I think they're on the exact same page. |
|
I just think they have plenty of ideological (and tactical) overlap to their style.

| 10. Not fair. But a lot of folks projected onto Obama what they wanted to see. Republicans did it. |
|
Democrats did it. The Nobel Committee did it.

| 14. Obama is not Lieberman, but Lieberman may as well be President |
|
because he has all the power, in the final analysis. And Obama sure seems to have his back.
Obama, if he was truly upset yesterday, is afraid of the Progressives bailing on this ridiculous bill. But he was cool with having Reid told to give Lieberman what he wants. I have no idea if Obama agrees with NoMoJoe on HCR or not, but O sure seems to be siding with him a whole lot more than the Progressives.
