Do they think that we are complete idiots?! Analogy enclosed....
Edited on Mon Dec-14-09 10:13 PM by NRaleighLiberal
I can't believe today's "developments" (what a joke!) on HCR. TPM's headline - Rahm tells Reid to give Lieberman what he wants? Joe Lieberman - the sniveling, obnoxious, smug, sanctimonious jerk whose voice is second only to Bush himself as fingernails on the chalkboard, vomit when I hear his voice territory? Lieberman whose wife is in so thick with money from sectors that we are trying to get back in line?

Give me a break. I am trying to come up with a great analogy for this...

it's kind of like the country really, really wants a bike. On edit, it doesn't want a bike - it NEEDS a bike. Desperately. So the politicians keep hinting we will get the bike - then they start tinkering with it - 15 speed? Nope. 10 speed? 3 speed? Keep cutting....

We are going to end up with some rusty thing with flat tires and no seat - but apparently congress and the white house think that as long as it is a bike, we will be happy.

Pathetic.

Lieberman? Come on..give me a f*@king break.

Editing one more time - who or what or who doing what with who or what types of pictures does Joe have in his possession?

4. I agree.
If this is what we get it isn't going to go over at all with the majority of this country! I have tried and tried to understand all the cuts that have been done to this bill, taking out the waiver insurance companies have when it comes to having a monopoly, not going after a single payer from day one, etc., but now with no public option, even a watered down one or one with a "trigger", and now no medicare buy in for those 55 to 65, I just can't see how anyone is defending what is left in this bill! I am so pissed off at congress for letting this happen, and I am not happy that the president wasn't more involved in pushing this through congress. Now Rahm says "let Lieberman have his way"! I just don't think I can take this shit anymore!

10. Just when you think this administration...
.... can not sink any lower they prove you wrong. Obama should literally be ashamed of the job he's doing, but he gives himself a "B".

Words fail.

11. You scratch my back I'll scratch yours...
"Earlier this week, I noted that the Senate had passed -- with Obama's support -- a pernicious amendment to the spending supplemental bill, jointly sponsored by Sens. Lindsey Graham and Joe Lieberman, that empowers Obama and the Pentagon, at their sole discretion, to suppress any "photograph taken between September 11, 2001 and January 22, 2009 relating to the treatment of individuals engaged, captured, or detained after September 11, 2001, by the Armed Forces of the United States in operations outside of the United States."
