"If 'Obamacare' passes, then the government will take over the hospitals, and then you will have to sit in the waiting room for HOURS before you can even see a doctor!!!111!!!!"

1. Most of the Teabaggers that I saw at my local congresswoman's
town hall looked to be on Medicare.

3. I thought teabaggers WERE leeches
since they don't want to pay taxes, but surely use Medicare and collect their SS checks... Meanwhile, my doctor ordered a 90-day supply of drugs for me to pick up at the pharmacy. When I got there, I was given a 30-day supply. The reason given was that the insurance company said that's all I can get at any given time. I'm sure glad I didn't have some government worker between me and my doctor and instead had that insurance company accountant instead.

6. That would probably make for a great "field trip"

They seem pretty far removed from reality to honestly believe that HCR, as is currently being proposed, will result in a "government takeover" of the health care system (if only!).

7. No, they follow the GOP healthcare plan - they don't get sick, and if they do
they have the courtesy to die quickly.

8. From Blackadder:
Edited on Sun Dec-13-09 02:28 PM by Turbineguy
Edmund: Never had anything you doctors didn't try to cure with leeches. A leech on my ear for ear ache, a leech on my bottom for constipation.
Doctor: They're marvellous, aren't they?
Edmund: Well, the bottom one wasn't. I just sat there and squashed it.
Doctor: You know the leech comes to us on the highest authority?
Edmund: Yes. I know that. Dr. Hoffmann of Stuttgart, isn't it?
Doctor: That's right, the great Hoffmann.
Edmund: Owner of the largest leech farm of Europe.
Doctor: Yes. Well, I cannot spend all day gossiping. I'm a busy man. As far as this case is concerned I have now had time to think it over and I can strongly recommend a course of leeches.
Edmund: Yes. I 'll pop a couple down my codpiece before I go to bed ?

9. Nope. They try to draw the evil spirits and humors out with incantations alone;
leeches and bloodletting are too scientific.

10. In the right hands, leeches are very good medical tools
Look up Hirudotherapy.
