Web site posts what it says are half million text messages from 9/11

(CNN) -- Newly released text messages reportedly from the morning of September 11, 2001, show panicked family members trying to contact loved ones and officials frantically trying to grasp what was happening.

More than half a million messages, released by whistleblower site Wikileaks, reveal the panic, horror and pain of what happened that morning in the words of those who experienced it.

1. Just read them for one hour. Some are actually humorous.

One person send a message saying that the two towers have been hit by planes and then adds that "the furniture arrived and it looks great"

3. There were a lot of rumors going around that day

Ones I remember include: 8 planes were hijacked, a car bomb went off at the State Department, and Tall Tales about crowd of Arabs (in the US) celebrating the attack.

That all those text messages were recorded (remember, this predates the Patriot Act), and they were saved.

I read this message about three times and thought - what the heck? - Bush is trying to call the WTC
