Congress attacked by terrorists in 1954
Did they insist they be tried in a military tribunal??
===================================

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Capitol_shooting_incident_(1954)

The United States Capitol shooting incident of 1954 was an attack on March 1, 1954 by four Puerto Rican nationalists who shot 30 rounds using automatic pistols from the Ladies' Gallery (a balcony for visitors) of the House of Representatives chamber in the United States Capitol.

The attackers, Lolita Lebrón, Rafael Cancel Miranda, Andres Figueroa Cordero, and Irving Flores Rodríguez, unfurled a Puerto Rican flag and began shooting at the 240 Representatives of the 83rd Congress who were on the floor during debate over an immigration bill.

Five representatives were wounded in the attack, one seriously. The wounded lawmakers were Alvin M. Bentley (R-Michigan), who took a bullet to the chest, Clifford Davis (D-Tennessee), who was shot in the leg, Ben F. Jensen (R-Iowa), who was shot in the back, as well as George Hyde Fallon (D-Maryland) and Kenneth A. Roberts (D-Alabama). House pages helped carry Alvin Bentley off the House floor.

The attackers were immediately arrested. All the attackers were given minimum sentences of 70 years in prison, after their death sentences were commuted by President Dwight D. Eisenhower

2. Well over 3,000 people didn't die in that attack for one thing.
Trying to say 9:11 didn't change anything is foolish. Though it is a reminder that Terrorism is a tactic and something that humans will always have to deal with.

3. There's a big difference, the Puerto Rican nationalists were dark-skinned, but
certainly not as dark as the muslims...that makes all the difference.

their death sentences commuted by President Dwight D. Eisenhower. I bet Obama doesn't do the same for KSM.

5. ...nor were "military tribunals" used against Galleanists or Anarchists in the early 20th century

Both groups committed acts of terrorism against the US and all were tried in civilian courts.

7. Before the attack
you were allowed to sit in the gallery and watch the proceedings. After the attack access was limited.
