"SANFORD, N.C. - Searchers found the body of a missing 5-year-old off a road Monday, ending a weeklong search for the girl, whose mother was accused of offering her for sex, police said.

Fayetteville Police spokeswoman Theresa Chance told The Associated Press that searchers found Shaniya Davis' body southeast of Sanford in central North Carolina.

Two people have been charged in her disappearance, including her mother, Antoinette Davis, 25. Police charged Davis with human trafficking and felony child abuse, saying Shaniya was offered for prostitution. A first court appearance for Davis was scheduled Monday afternoon. Police said she did not yet have an attorney..."

This woman deserves the cold stare of every woman she meets in prison, many of which are separated from their children that they love because of drugs and crimes not against babies.

What an evil person. I kept thining of my small, defenseless 6 year old niece taking one of our hands to cross the street, precious baby depending on adults to keep her safe.

9. What a sweet face on that little girl and what an awful fate

to happen to an innocent. Even if her mother doesn't get the death penalty, she will be taken care of in prison by the other inmates, many of who are mothers themselves. She should be praying for the death penalty if she's not too stupid to realize it.
