The Republican National Committee’s health insurance plan covers elective abortion – a procedure the party’s own platform calls “a fundamental assault on innocent human life.”

Federal Election Commission Records show the RNC purchases its insurance from Cigna. Two sales agents for the company said that the RNC’s policy covers elective abortion.

2. Repubs probably set this up so that the dems get all in a tizzy over abortion

and end up voting in the repub no-reform HCR bill. We're screwed if dems fall into this trap. And the irony is w/o bounds. Hope everyone will consider payment for $200 abortion services a fair trade for claims denial of leukemia and/or organ transplant treatments and the resulting medical bankruptcies.

I can just see the RWingers laughing themselves silly after pressing the anti-abortion button and watching the fallout and dem split. I just hope our elected senators keep their eye on the ball and vote in a real insurance reform bill complete with public option, instead of engaging in civil war over the stupak amendment.
