| 1. I hope the media covers their breakdown with the same enthusiasm as they did their "rally". | |

These people make me sick. All of them. Some more than others, to be sure, but all of them.

Nobody is going to support individual mandated payments to corporations, let alone fines imposed by the IRS for not paying them.

| 6. Unfortunately if we are to achieve anything close to universal health care |
 |
we need close to universal participation. My bet is many will grumble but most will participate and there will be those who will CLEARLY benefit
Also if you ALREADY have insurance... it does not affect you.
Oh and there are many things in this bill that stink to hell and high water by the way. But as I like to remind people, so did SS in 1935 and Medicare in 1965.

I remember they went nuts over supposed education reform. In the end, we've really nothing much to show for that 'victory' over their obstruction and demagoguery since Congress refused to fund most of the mandates some were celebrating at the time. I don't expect some Pyrrhic victory over their politics-of-the-moment to cause them any lasting heartburn. After all, who among their primary benefactors will be hurt by this legislation?
