It hurts. I know how you feel because I felt this way after Prop H8 passed and after the same ilk of people voted to take away gay marriage in Maine. You don't have to be gay or female to know this is wrong. Thank you.

13. The LGBT community has a right to feel screwed

but all the women I know are happy about the healthcare reform. I don't feel screwed at all. I think some people on DU are out of touch with what a lot of uninsured women are going through. It must be nice but I grew up with no insurance as did most of the people I know.

I agree with the OP, and add that I feel pretty much helpless to do much about the situation.

For that matter, I feel the same way about the way "my" party is coddling Wall Street. (Not all of us straight white males are rich, you know.)
