That oughta fix the illegal immigration and unemployment problem!

What you are proposing is discrimination and the establishment of second class citizenship.

What you are advocating is a grandfather clause, which has been illegal and unconstitutional in the United States since 1915.

I can hardly believe that a Democrat posted this in DU.

How do you get inside an employer's mind to show he "knowingly" hired an illegal alien? You can't.

to check legality. Then if they hire someone who dosent check out then you fine them....

17. pretty easy. you create a piece of paper for all to fill out. that piece of paper says I have
checked citizenship of all employees. simple. easy. .t could be on the IRS form for w2s and 1099s everyone signs every year, for example . Even if you have one part time employee you need to fill out paperwork for them.
