Democrats refusal to fight back and go on the offensive (health care)

I've posted about this before, and I just keep noticing it and it bothers the F#@K out of me. Conservatives just keep up the nasty attacks trying to scare people about healthcare reform, especially senior citizens, and democrats refuse to get nasty in return. They are just too layed back/ passive. They run ads promoting their reform, but refuse to run adds combating conservative scare tactics and the individuals behind them (John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, David Koch, Sarah Palin, Rick Scott among many others) It just seems like Conservatives gain power with their agressive personalities by getting nasty and Lying whereas democrats depend on massive conservative incompetence to gain power. Democrats need to learn to start referring to conservatives as Militaristic/Anti-Science/Religious Zealot Facists who only care about the rich, corporations, stem cells and the unborn. They refuse to do that and until they do, conservatives will always be able to throw their weight around by scaring and misleading people.

1. I agree with you, however one reason conservatives have that weight

to throw around is because of fear. No one knows when someone in their ranks will come unglued and empty out an assault weapon on a politician, an abortion doctor or talk show host. That implied use of physical force is a big factor in giving them that power.

2. Americans like militaristic/anti-science/r eligious fanatics. They do not like Corporate Overlords

In general, Americans dislike large concentrations of power (whether private or public.) Simply calling the GOP a bunch of names won't work. We need to inspire our own brand of militarism. We need our own teabaggers. We need people who are willing to fight and die for the cause. Until then, nothing will happen.

3. Recently it seems as though the republicans control congress; while we have large majorities,

there is a weakness of leadership that gives deference to the republicans. It is almost some sort of fear that the Democrats may anger the republicans. Democrats are still passing some legislation, but it is hard to tell who controls congress.
