Lord, Mort Zuckerman has become a joke.
On MJ now. He is just the quintessential rich guy having trouble with change of any sort. Spouting off about how "the majority of Americans" are opposed to reform in health care, particularly the "Obama plan" and that we are all confused about what we want because we don't understand the problem. And he goes on and on, almost gleefully, about increases in unemployment breaking some psychological barrier at 10% and this becoming a problem for the President. Chrystia Freeland reminded him that there are real people losing jobs attached to those stats and he toned it down a little, only to relate how someone he had been talking to had told him he was concerned about people buying the products he produced. Mort doesn't seem to connect the hoarding of wealth by his class as being antithetical to the creation of jobs.

1. He's a joy.
What would our beloved NYC be without our ancient holy order of moneyed media elite.
