2. Hey, I'm perfectly calm
and I'm on record elsewhere as saying the only upset among the GOPs 3 nationally promoted races would be in NY-23.

Face it, Corzine had pissed too many people off and Deeds was as exciting as a cold pork chop with little to recommend him but that (D) after his name.

The pleasant surprise was that Charlotte, NC, got its first Democratic mayor in 22 years and that he's black, to boot. About time, dammit.

5. yeah, but the "liberal media" isn't backing the liberals ...
note the tone of the results of the off-year elections ...

OH MY GOD!!! TWO REPUBLICANS WON states where there have been plenty of Republicans over the years, especially after the Civil Rights legislation was passed in the late sixties GOVERNORSHIPS RUNNING AGAINST OBAMA!!!

Oh, a Democrat won a seat where Democrats hadn't won in over 140 years ...

6. I feel the NY Congressional race was mud in their faces.
That's why they are all yelling so loud abut the governors winning. Let's face it, Sarah and the gang thought they would swoop in and win big in NY.
This comment says it all in my opinion:

:Well, I certainly hope this sends a message to Sarah Palin and her minions. I had a feeling Owens would win. No doubt those New Yorkers weren't too happy about Palin and her ilk inserting themselves into THEIR election. And no doubt those New Yorkers are NOT die-hard right wing extremists, either!"
