7. interesting stat I found
does your map say that 41% of white men voted for Obama? Because it appears that only 37% of white men voted for Kerry.

I cannot find data on the 2000 election for white males but in 2000 Bush got 53% of the male vote and 54% of the white vote. So Gore seems to have done better than Kerry (not surprising, perhaps, since Gore got more votes than Bush, unlike Kerry) In 2004, Bush got 55% of the male vote (compared to 53% in 2000) and 58% of the white vote (compared to 54% in 2000).
