to keep their seats. Yesterday's elections were a warning to Democrats that they must move right or they will lose the next election.

Yesterday's election was about NOT GETTING THINGS DONE. Democrats have been trying to reach across the aisle and appease the Republicans, who aren't cooperating in any way. Enough is enough! The GOP is just buying time, doing everything possible to DELAY or PREVENT or CORRUPT any Democratic bill that's being worked on. It doesn't matter what it is: stimulus, health care, extending unemployment benefits, veteran's benefits...ALL OF THEM.

Democrats need to start up the big monster truck, put it in gear, sound the horn and tell everyone to either jump on board, or get out of the fucking way or they're going to get run over!

Now they've wasted half of their time on the GOP, I hope the Democrats get the message that the reason Dems aren't showing up to support them is because THE DEMOCRATS IN CONGRESS AREN'T SHOWING US THEY'RE WORTHY OF THE EFFORT.

We voted for them in 2006 and 2008. By doing so, we sent an OVERWHELMING MESSAGE that we wanted CHANGE. So what do the Dems do? They try to come up with bipartisan bills that aren't really representative of CHANGE.

We need a reason to vote for you Democrats. You've pissed away much of the last year, and are now suffering because of it. What are you going to do the coming year? More of the same? That will get you more of the same on election day 2010.

Time is ticking away, Democrats. Get on board the monster truck or get run over. Your choice.

On the other hand, in California, a congressional seat formerly held by a DLC tool went to an actual Democrat. And in New York, a Democrat won a seat that had been in Repuke hands since the fucking Civil War.

7. This is the message I'm seeing on television and on the internet.

I recognize that the source of these messages may have ulterior motives, but these are the same messages many Americans are getting, and many won't realize there is an agenda behind those messages.

The people who got out and voted for Obama in 2008 didn't head to the polls yesterday. Why? Could it be because the Dems failed to get the message to them that what they did in 2008 will be undone quickly if they don't continue to support what they did with their vote in 2008? And the only way to do that is to continue voting for what you believe in, then communicating that to the person you elected.

I think the people who got out and voted in 2008 have seen their bubbles burst because there really hasn't been that much CHANGE. Yes, there has been change, but does it affect most people? Has it had an impact on their lives?

What if Dems had passed a robust public option health care reform bill earlier this year, and people across the country were beginning to receive information in the mail boxes about the new program. Information about the new options that will be available to them next year. Information about how their health care costs are going to be going down. Information about how getting everyone in the system will lower costs for everyone.

Would that have been enough to get some out to vote? Sure.

Would gay people who stayed home yesterday feeling dejected because they still don't have the same rights everyone else has have made more of an effort to support their candidates if Don't Ask, Don't Tell had been rescinded, and if they knew equality was going to be addressed in the near future? Sure.

The Democrats have failed to act on the message from the people in 2006 and 2008. They need to get with it, or they will find themselves sitting in the corner, sucking their thumbs when the GOP is back in control.

And make no mistake, Democrats in Congress: The Republicans will have NO SECOND THOUGHTS ABOUT EXCLUDING YOU FROM THE PROCESS. You've made an attempt to do the right thing, and the GOP has not cooperated. It's time to shove them in the corner and give them pacifiers.

If the Dems move any farther to the right, they will BE Republicans. Hell, a few of them are there already, to the right of Nixon.

The "elephants in donkey jackets" can fool people only for so long.

The reason for having two parties is for them to represent two different points of view, not to have a situation like that of El Salvador in the 1980s, where the official political spectrum ran from pro-business "keep the peasants poor and barefoot" conservatives to outright "kill the peasants for any reason you feel like, as well as anyone who defends them" fascists.

If the Dems move too far to the right, the left-of-center people will either stay home (a foolish choice, since it completely removes their voice) or vote third party.

Who will do the door-knocking and phone banking and money-giving to the Dems if all the left-of-center people are alienated?

I'm not sure how two governerships mean that, but I don't think the media has any other way to interpret political news.

The majority of voters who caused the recent mini, Democratic revolution to happen with their votes and activism were riding a tide of optimism in the folks they supported and elected. That optimism among those voters is fading with every tardy or broken promise.

numbers for Democrats. Please keep in mind. Independents
are composed of 2 groups. Independents who lean Democratic
and Independents who lean Republican.

Before Obama won the Presidency, the country was being governed
Center Right to far Right. Tom Delay explains the Strategy
and how he helped work things so we had Center Right to Far Right
Governance. Democrats are clueless if they continue to permit
the GOP to distance themselves from Bush and say Bush was not
Conservative.

Now that is settled--Center Right to Far Right Governance.

The people voted for Obama because they wanted change. Republican
Conservative Economic Fundamentalism had driven the country to
edge of the abyss. They did not vote for more Conservatism.
They elected Democrats. They expected change and strong leadership.
The Democrats on the Hill have offered neither. They instead
are developing a Republican Health Care Plan. Just as GOP
the Democrats have developed a gift for the Health Insurance Industry.
The Independents (Dem and Repub Leaning) have left in droves.
Americans are not stupid. The Democrats made no effort to get
themselves on TV and explain what they are doing and why HCIR
must be changed. They left a vacuum for the GOP to exploit.

The Democrats had better start acting like Democrats and bring
change or the party will be thrown out. VA and NJ was a warning
shot to Congress. GO further right and hang yourself. Deedes
showed that trying to be a fake Republican is a sure loss.
