Virginia and New Jersey?

Make no mistake about it, those two governorships are Virginia's and New Jersey's problems, in the grand scheme of things.

Besides, one guy will be a one termer and the other guy will be the Governor of Virginia.

2. Having the governorships help during the elections, so it's not all good....

Plus the Dem seat in CA was already Dem and that wasn't gonna change.

What is important is that the Repubs that ran and won, didn't win and run because they
repudiated Barack Obama, in fact, neither of the "R" candidates had anything negative to say
about this President during this election.

As for NY 23, what that showed is that the Teabagger antics and tactics
aren't electing anyone. That's the good news.

5. Hey, it's good news that Dem Garamendi beat a republican to win a seat

in Congress...so what if it was a Dem seat before....

The republicans wanted that seat, they ran a republican for that seat and the republicans would of been in heaven, ecstatic to win and take that congressional seat away from the Dems -

BUT THEY DIDN'T!

Democrats won two, Republicans won two...

It's certainly not the republican blowout the media is making it out to be.

The traffic issue in Northern Virginia -- which the governor-elect has solemnly promised to make abso-fucking-lutely impossible to address in a sensible manner -- is going to be a killer. That's where all the new voters are, and they trend Dem. He's going to take a beating.

NJ is a very tough place and has more buried bodies popping up than if they flooded Arlington Cemetary. And the governor-elect is an abso-fucking-lutely lunatic. He'll take a beating.

6. More people voted in the VA 2008 Dem primary than voted for the Dem Gov Candidate

Hey, watch it about Virginia Obama carried the state in the primary, which was huge, and the general, which was huge. Deeds beat McDonnell in the 2005 AG race 60% to 40% in Northern Virginia. He lost 51% to 49% against the same guy this year. This shows you how inept the campaign was.

Keep an eye on Virginia. The new A.G. replacing McDonnell is a real goof ball. He'll defy the law to follow his extreme right wing - antiabortion agenda. How do I know this? He said so, in public. Nobody paid attention. They will now. He won't last two years.

When the Dem 2008 primary had 960,000 voters compared to about 380,00 in 2004 (contested too), I wondered what the VA Dem Party would do with all those new voters. Apparently it's convince them to stay home. Just ridiculous.
