No politics, no agenda, just little kids out getting candy and people being nice.

Top 3 tonight in Clintonville (Columbus, OH)

The Little Bumble Bee (cute on a stick)

The Duck (all white w/ orange bill, orange feet, yellow tail)

The little policeman (age 6 ..... both mom & dad are cops and they are my neighbors) w/ handcuffs and a little billy club)

BTW passing out candy and sitting by a pumpkin is as good as it gets.

2. Our kids go tomorrow night. We always have trick or treat the evening before Halloween.
It must be a regional thing.

4. My favorite little kid Halloween moment was every bit political. . .
Must have been 30 years or more ago. I opened the door and there he was: "TEDDY ROOSEVELT!" Dressed in khaki, a "rough rider" hat, wire frame glasses and a mustache, he couldn't have been more than 6 or 7 years old. "TEDDY ROOSEVELT!" I exclaimed again. Scared the hell out of the little kid, I'm sure, but it was the last costume I expected to see.

I couldn't help myself: I gave him handfuls of candy, told him his was the best costume I ever expected to see. And in the years since, I haven't seen anything that gave me near as much pleasure as that kid's get up.
