Has Landrieu committed to not filibustering the public option?
I read somewhere that the White House thought they had 58 votes in the Senate for a public option. That means there's another possible filibuster participant among Dems/Independents other than Lieberman.

Any idea who it might be? Landrieu seems like a possible choice, but somewhere in the back of my mind I seem to recall her commiting to not filibuster the bill. Did I just imagine that?

Sen. Mary Landrieu (La.), one of the very few Democrats on record against the public option, said that she'd rather not join a Republican filibuster. "I'm not right now inclined to support any filibuster," she told HuffPost.

Nelson seems to have committed to not fillibuster- he might actually support the "opt out." Bayh won't filibuster as long as some provision that hurts medical device manufacturers in his state is taken out. I doubt Lincoln would filibuster- I really don't see a likely filibusterer other than Lieberman. Yet he seems firms. So frustrating to be literally one vote short out of 535 Congress members.

2. Trust me if it weren't Lieberman there would be another one ..
to step in and take one for the insurance companies. The turncoats don't want to tip their hand completely. They only need one person to lay down in front of the bus to stop it from going anywhere.
